Mateo Libertad could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Segundo Laurendi made a huge save. In the 42nd minute, Pedro Efren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Segundo Laurendi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Richie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Richie in the 44th minute of play forced Alvarado de Mar del Plata's goalkeeper Segundo Laurendi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Quinten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Efren in the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
