Jesus Cisco made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Blas-Armando Giunta sent off a good shot on target. Sporting de Gijón's Celedonio Kinsen got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, ATLETICO TOSODELMA's Guido Liberto got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Blas-Armando Giunta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Jesus Cisco made a huge save. After 45 played minutes Sporting de Gijón got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Fernández. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arnaldo Odol to strike the kick off in the second half. After 62 minutes Sporting de Gijón's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gaspar Iratzeder who took care of the corner kick. 64 minutes into the match, ATLETICO TOSODELMA's goal looked a bit too open when Blas-Armando Giunta came free, but Jesus Cisco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sporting de Gijón's Ezequiel Fernández was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jesus Cisco in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 66 minutes, Arnaldo Odol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ATLETICO TOSODELMA and the Sporting de Gijón players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Kinsen in the 67th minute of play forced ATLETICO TOSODELMA's goalkeeper Jesus Cisco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jesus Cisco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blas-Armando Giunta, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Jesus Cisco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas-Armando Giunta in the 71st minute of play. Iker Matro in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in ATLETICO TOSODELMA's zone, Blas-Armando Giunta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jesus Cisco came out of the goal and Blas-Armando Giunta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jesus Cisco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas-Armando Giunta in the 95th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sporting de Gijón fully deserved thier win.
