If Albano Cambranes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fidel Lorien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximo Emeterio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Albano Cambranes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monte Hermoso Beach fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Everardo Gipuzkoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albano Cambranes in the 41st minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Monte Hermoso Beach's goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Emeterio came free, but Fidel Lorien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Bastian in the 44th minute of play forced Atlético Montserrat's goalkeeper Everardo Gipuzkoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Nemesio Dimas fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Montserrat's protests and gave Nemesio Dimas a yellow card for diving instead. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albano Cambranes made a kick off.
