The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Wilfredo Gaxan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Mauricio Maura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mauricio Maura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Frechoso in the 10th minute of play. Nicanor Fero took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Germano. Carlos Germano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 29 minutes into the match, ZORZAL01's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Frechoso came free, but Mauricio Maura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Germano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arsenio Maldonado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicanor Fero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Carlos Germano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. ZORZAL01's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Julian Iratzeder in the 34th minute. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when ZORZAL01 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Iratzeder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Fonso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mauricio Maura. ZORZAL01's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the Club Atlético Atlanta defense, Benjamin Firmo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Germano. The Club Atlético Atlanta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Germano should have stopped the shot. In a very dangerous position, a player in ZORZAL01 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! In the 50th minute, Wilfredo Gaxan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauricio Maura was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arsenio Maldonado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carlos Germano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ladislao Jaunzuria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Germano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Firmo in the 60th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Arsenio Maldonado came free, but Carlos Germano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Atlanta's zone, Ladislao Jaunzuria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Germano came out of the goal and Ladislao Jaunzuria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Germano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arsenio Maldonado in the 69th minute of play. After a rather tough play, ZORZAL01's Benjamin Firmo got a free kick in the 70th minute. The supporters of ZORZAL01 booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dionisio Monico didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Arsenio Maldonado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Carlos Germano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, ZORZAL01's Ladislao Jaunzuria got a free kick in the 94th minute. Arsenio Maldonado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Germano having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ZORZAL01 fans cheered their team off the field, for while Club Atlético Atlanta had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
