But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspar Sabin couldn't finish the play. After 5 played minutes Los Muchachos del 86 got a freekick which was hit by Pastor Botello. In the 5th minute of the match Amador Jakue shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ramiro Erasto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 7th match minute, Leones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Poz to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute Santo Blanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aureliano Obeko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaspar Sabin got free with Ramiro Erasto in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 14 minutes into the game, one of Los Muchachos del 86:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ramiro Erasto had in the 15thth minute some difficulties stopping Amador Jakue's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 22nd match minute, Los Muchachos del 86 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Pabla to maneuver through the defense. Gaspar Sabin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Ramiro Erasto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Leones FC's Gaspar Sabin got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute of the match Alejo Louis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ramiro Erasto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gaspar Sabin might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ramiro Erasto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaspar Sabin ran back to his position shaking his head. Joel Pabla struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Aureliano Obeko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Muchachos del 86. Santo Blanco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aureliano Obeko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Jaime Mundo struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Ramiro Erasto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leones FC. After a rather tough play, Leones FC's Bartolo Cresconio got a free kick in the 40th minute. Dante Mannie hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
In the 52nd minute of the match Leones FC got a corner. Los Muchachos del 86's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Amador Jakue ran over to the corner to take the kick. 54 minutes into the match, Jaime Mundo notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Los Muchachos del 86's Ramiro Erasto. Ramiro Erasto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jaime Mundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ramiro Erasto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonardo Poz in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ramiro Erasto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd minute Leones FC were awarded a corner. Amador Jakue went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 66th minute Jaime Mundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Erasto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 68 played minutes Los Muchachos del 86 got a freekick which was hit by Joel Pabla. A collision led to Los Muchachos del 86 getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Generoso Abreu hit a great ball. Gaspar Sabin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ramiro Erasto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Ricardo Ordono hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the match, Los Muchachos del 86's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Mundo came free, but Ramiro Erasto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Jaime Mundo made a precise shot to the right of Ramiro Erasto. Los Muchachos del 86's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After having played for 84 minutes, Jaime Mundo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leones FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Mundo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute, Generoso Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gaspar Sabin struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Ramiro Erasto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leones FC. Leones FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Los Muchachos del 86 for a fine match.
