After 7 played minutes Santos de Buenos Aires FC got a freekick which was hit by Sixto Cuartas. A collision led to Santos de Buenos Aires FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Lázaro Suárez hit a great ball. Diego Melendez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Vachon in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Erubiel Lopes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diego Melendez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Diego Melendez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Inocente, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Diego Melendez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Inocente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Lopes came free, but Diego Melendez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Santos de Buenos Aires FC defense, Christian Inocente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diego Melendez. The Santos de Buenos Aires FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diego Melendez should have stopped the shot. Romulo Estavan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavio Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 101st minute. Guansa's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
