With a little luck, GUSESI's Santos Kiliz got control of the ball when Rodrigo Calvet tried to sneak it across the goal line. Santos Kiliz made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Lázaro Suárez sent off a good shot on target. Isaias Rafe kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Santos Kiliz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Calvet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santos Kiliz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Suárez in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Bonifacio Vitin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diego Melendez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Ostargi in the 19th minute of the match. When GUSESI's Francis Dukaj in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. GUSESI's Santos Kiliz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Rufio in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of Santos de Buenos Aires FC booed when GUSESI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Lander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paco Gento might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diego Melendez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paco Gento ran back to his position shaking his head. Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Diego Melendez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Ostargi in the 35th minute of play. Diego Melendez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paco Gento in the 36th minute of play. Lázaro Suárez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Santos Kiliz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santos Kiliz was a little too slow when Sixto Cuartas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Florentino Paul to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, GUSESI's goal looked a bit too open when Lázaro Suárez came free, but Santos Kiliz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Eugenio Beturian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Santos Kiliz. GUSESI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eugenio Beturian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After a rather tough play, GUSESI's Marco Ostargi got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 67th match minute, Santos de Buenos Aires FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Vitin to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gonzalo Toribio during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 71 played minutes Santos de Buenos Aires FC got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Toribio. 73 minutes into the game, Francis Dukaj cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Diego Melendez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 76th minute Paco Gento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Melendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The GUSESI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After some careless play in the GUSESI defense, Eugenio Beturian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santos Kiliz. The GUSESI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santos Kiliz should have stopped the shot. 96 minutes into the match, GUSESI's goal looked a bit too open when Lázaro Suárez came free, but Santos Kiliz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santos de Buenos Aires FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
