Alessandro Mello made an important save on a dangerous shot by Prudencio Bartolome in the 26th minute. If Jonathan Piearres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Omar Salvidor hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. When Honorato Ederono fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tristán Suárez FC's protests and gave Honorato Ederono a yellow card for diving instead. 39 minutes into the match, Tristán Suárez FC's goalkeeper Alessandro Mello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Prudencio Bartolome. Tristán Suárez FC were furious when Fernand Hierro was red carded, 44 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 43rd minute, one of Tristán Suárez FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tristán Suárez FC. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rafael Santos Borré made a kick off. Alessandro Mello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prudencio Bartolome in the 51st minute of play. Pechz Uga's late challenge caught a Reyes F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pechz Uga helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Reyes F.C. booed when Tristán Suárez FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pechz Uga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tristán Suárez FC's Alvin Kilström was substituted for Esteve Petri. A collision led to Tristán Suárez FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play.
