Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Dionisio Matia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Goren in the 8th minute of play. Justino Kismi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Angel Comizzo came out and tried to block the shot, but Justino Kismi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute. When Romeo Porfiro fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tello AFC's protests and gave Romeo Porfiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute Osvaldo Goren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionisio Matia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angel Comizzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Colas, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Menchu FC's Angel Comizzo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Menchu FC from getting a goal against them. Osvaldo Goren might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dionisio Matia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osvaldo Goren ran back to his position shaking his head. Dionisio Matia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Goren in the 27th minute of the match. Dionisio Matia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Goren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Menchu FC's Leandro Gonzalez Pirez got a free kick in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Goren in the 35th minute of play forced Tello AFC's goalkeeper Dionisio Matia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Silvestre Vermudo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dionisio Matia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Osvaldo Goren went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Angel Comizzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Colas in the 45th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osvaldo Goren was the one to do the kick off. After 55 played minutes Menchu FC got a freekick which was hit by Lennart Torstensson. After having played for 56 minutes, Virgilio Baristo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tello AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgilio Baristo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 58 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Goren recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dionisio Matia. Osvaldo Goren showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justino Kismi in the 62nd minute of play forced Menchu FC's goalkeeper Angel Comizzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Hernan Diaz fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Vicente Noe's late challenge caught a Tello AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 73rd match minute, Menchu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Noe to maneuver through the defense. After 83 minutes of play, Tello AFC's Fabio Semeno made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Angel Comizzo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dionisio Matia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Siro Eufemio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dionisio Matia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siro Eufemio in the 87th minute of the match. Felipe Quentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Dionisio Matia made a huge save. Gualterio Giro charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gualterio Giro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd minute, Gualterio Giro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leandro Gonzalez Pirez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dionisio Matia. Tello AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
