Club Almirante Brown's Federico Quinteros managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Donato Osasun in the 23 minute of the game. Cristo Haritz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guido Bautista in the 23rd minute. Aldo Colon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristo Guillerme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Santa Maradona's goal looked a bit too open when Aristides Rayman came free, but Cristo Haritz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santa Maradona's Eliseo Guter got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute Aristides Rayman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristo Haritz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guido Bautista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristo Haritz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Guido Bautista did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Cristo Haritz 41 minutes into the match. Guido Bautista in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cristo Haritz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Club Almirante Brown's Aristides Rayman got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristo Guillerme made a kick off. Club Almirante Brown made a substitution. Americo Duardo replaced Rodrigo Pierres. In the 61st minute Club Almirante Brown were awarded a corner. Tomás Etxepare went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Tomás Etxepare almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Santa Maradona's Cristo Haritz did a great save. 64 minutes into the match, Eliseo Guter had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aldo Colon. Club Almirante Brown's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliseo Guter was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Benigno Vermudo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Club Almirante Brown's Severo Venceslas got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 76thth minute of the game Guido Bautista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santa Maradona's Cristo Haritz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Guido Bautista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guido Bautista hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. The supporters of Santa Maradona booed when Club Almirante Brown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristides Rayman didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Santa Maradona getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Donato Osasun hit a great ball. Cristo Haritz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Bautista, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Benigno Vermudo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Colon having to interfere. After 92 minutes, Ivan Mercurio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santa Maradona and the Club Almirante Brown players grew even worse after the yellow card. Santa Maradona were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Club Almirante Brown to leave the ground with a draw.
