In the 10th minute, Eliseo Guter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benigno Guillem was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After having played for 14 minutes, Victoriano Sazon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Candela FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victoriano Sazon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victoriano Sazon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Uriel Belmiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Ubarna in the 20th minute of play forced La Candela FC's goalkeeper Benigno Guillem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Cecilio Ubarna put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Benigno Guillem. In the 91st minute Baldomiro Gonzalez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Belmiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, La Candela FC's Tiburcio Bonadona got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Baldomiro Gonzalez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 98th match minute, La Candela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Arias to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The La Candela FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Santa Maradona had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
