Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Santa Maradona's goalkeeper Uriel Belmiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mauricio Jurdan. Octavio Lauaxeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cecilio Ubarna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santa Maradona's Uriel Belmiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victoriano Banegas in the 21st minute of play. Uriel Belmiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Banegas in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victoriano Banegas in the 33rd minute of play forced Santa Maradona's goalkeeper Uriel Belmiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Simbo FC booed when Santa Maradona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Guter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simbo FC's Victoriano Banegas got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Simbo FC's Octavio Lauaxeta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Simbo FC from getting a goal against them. After 90 played minutes Santa Maradona got a freekick which was hit by Ciriaco Rencio. 93 minutes into the match, Santa Maradona's goal looked a bit too open when Victoriano Banegas came free, but Uriel Belmiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Feliberto Mouricio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute Mauricio Jurdan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Belmiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Simbo FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Santa Maradona had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
