Feliberto Gaskon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Isazi, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zeledon Madaleno in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Domingos Savier saved Northern California from getting behind. With 25 minutes on the clock, Uluç Tezcan commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Uluç Tezcan hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Domingos Savier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Madaleno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the game, Zeledon Madaleno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Domingos Savier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 35th minute, Melchor Mannuel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, POSSE 1911 FC's Zeledon Madaleno got a free kick in the 36th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Aurelio Berdoi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Feliberto Gaskon. That made the score 3-1 in the 37 minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Godfredo Xabel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Domingos Savier. Northern California's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Godfredo Xabel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aurelio Berdoi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felipe Ereinotz during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Felipe Ereinotz hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Felipe Ereinotz in the 69th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by POSSE 1911 FC's Venancio Dimas. A throw-in in the 73rd minute of the game was made by Felipe Ereinotz with Aurelio Berdoi as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Domingos Savier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Xabel, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 82 played minutes POSSE 1911 FC got a freekick which was hit by Omar Elazar. 87 minutes into the match, Northern California's goalkeeper Domingos Savier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zeledon Madaleno. After a rather tough play, POSSE 1911 FC's Zeledon Madaleno got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Pablo Henrico took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Feliberto Gaskon. Feliberto Gaskon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. There was no doubt that Northern California were the better team. Northern California's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
