The audience thought a goal was coming when Oliver Friggieri got free with Andriy Trubin in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Liam Rolè received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Andriy Trubin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andriy Trubin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Friggieri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 18 minutes of play, Templars FC's Oliver Friggieri made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andriy Trubin was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Templars FC booed when FC Ruh Lviv was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Lytvynchuk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anatoliy Batyuk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Demicoli having to interfere. Templars FC's Samuel Demicoli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danylo Bandera in the 26th minute of play. After 26 minutes, Danylo Bandera made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Templars FC's Samuel Demicoli tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Peter Degiorgio hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Samuel Demicoli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kostyantyn Tereschenko in the 43rd minute of the match. With a little luck, FC Ruh Lviv's Andriy Trubin got control of the ball when Oliver Friggieri tried to sneak it across the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Myroslav Akymenko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Borg Xuereb in the 51st minute of play forced FC Ruh Lviv's goalkeeper Andriy Trubin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Anatoliy Batyuk came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the FC Ruh Lviv fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anatoliy Batyuk couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Myroslav Akymenko in the 79th minute of play forced Templars FC's goalkeeper Samuel Demicoli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute, Anatoliy Batyuk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Templars FC's Gabriel Lentini got a free kick in the 90th minute.
