After 15 minutes of play, FC Ruh Lviv's Mykyta Gvozdevych made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. With a little luck, Templars FC's Samuel Demicoli got control of the ball when Mykyta Gvozdevych tried to sneak it across the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, FC Ruh Lviv's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Friggieri came free, but Andriy Trubin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mark Borg Xuereb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Templars FC booed when FC Ruh Lviv was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gennadiy Getsko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oliver Friggieri was the one to do the kick off. FC Ruh Lviv's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Oliver Friggieri scored to the left of an out of position Andriy Trubin, making the score, 1-1. Samuel Demicoli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mykyta Gvozdevych's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Oliver Friggieri hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Mykyta Gvozdevych charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mykyta Gvozdevych the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Ruh Lviv getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Mykyta Gvozdevych hit a great ball. After 70 minutes, Mark Borg Xuereb mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Templars FC and the FC Ruh Lviv players grew even worse after the yellow card. Artur Lytvynchuk hit a great ball. 90 minutes into the match, Templars FC's Keith DeGaetano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
