Samuel Demicoli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saulius Inzaghi, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, FC Alytus United's goal looked a bit too open when Keith DeGaetano came free, but Gražvydas Andrikaitis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Templars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Saulius Inzaghi came free, but Samuel Demicoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Pepito Inzaghi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Demicoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gražvydas Andrikaitis came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Templars FC's Oliver Friggieri. But to his dismay, Oliver Friggieri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 31 minutes into the game, Adam Aquilina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Templars FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Alytus United the free kick. After a rather tough play, Templars FC's Adam Aquilina got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 32ndth minute of the game Saulius Inzaghi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Templars FC's Samuel Demicoli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gražvydas Andrikaitis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Friggieri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Oliver Friggieri made a precise shot to the right of Gražvydas Andrikaitis. FC Alytus United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oliver Friggieri to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Alytus United's Pepito Inzaghi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Samuel Demicoli. That made the score 2-1 after 59 minutes of play. In the 69th minute, Keith DeGaetano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Templars FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After 75 minutes of play, Templars FC's Oliver Friggieri made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The referee ignored Templars FC's protests and gave Mark Borg Xuereb a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th match minute, Templars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mark Borg Xuereb to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Peppino Azzopardi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gabriel Lentini fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Templars FC's protests and gave Gabriel Lentini a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Alytus United booed when Templars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Lentini didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Pepito Inzaghi came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the FC Alytus United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pepito Inzaghi couldn't finish the play.
