Ian Manchè came out of the goal and Alphonso Davies tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ian Manchè showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Vanghele in the 31st minute of the match. 34 minutes into the game, UFC Puturoasa's Alexei Caraman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ian Manchè made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 38th minute, Alphonso Davies hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thibaut Courtois made an important save on a dangerous shot by Austin Gatt in the 39th minute. The supporters of UFC Puturoasa booed when Floriana Celtics was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malcolm Hili didn't get a good kick on the ball.
