Æsir Ásgarðr's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stephan Hyzler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 7 minutes into the match, Paul Montebello dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Skarphéðinn Ormarsson, 2-0. After some careless play in the Æsir Ásgarðr defense, Shawn Darmanin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Skarphéðinn Ormarsson. The Æsir Ásgarðr fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Skarphéðinn Ormarsson should have stopped the shot. In the 15th minute, Seraċini Għawdxin's Robert Seychell ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Skarphéðinn Ormarsson. Skarphéðinn Ormarsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. With a little luck, Æsir Ásgarðr's Skarphéðinn Ormarsson got control of the ball when Shawn Darmanin tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Seraċini Għawdxin's Paul Montebello slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Skarphéðinn Ormarsson. That made the score 5-0 after 21 minutes of play. When Æsir Ásgarðr's Sólbjörn Guðnason in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Seraċini Għawdxin's goalie prevented a goal. 32 minutes into the game, Paul Montebello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seraċini Għawdxin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Æsir Ásgarðr the free kick. Paul Montebello hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute of the match Seraċini Għawdxin got a corner. Æsir Ásgarðr's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Keith Cassar ran over to the corner to take the kick. Paul Montebello received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Skarphéðinn Ormarsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Paul Montebello slotted it home off the left post making it 6-0 in the 39th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shawn Darmanin to strike the kick off in the second half. Skarphéðinn Ormarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Seychell, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute, Paul Montebello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Skarphéðinn Ormarsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Seraċini Għawdxin's Clayton Vella was substituted for Claudio Meli. 63 minutes into the game, Seraċini Għawdxin's Clayton Vella nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Skarphéðinn Ormarsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Æsir Ásgarðr's Skarphéðinn Ormarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Seychell in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Bogason in the 70th minute of play forced Seraċini Għawdxin's goalkeeper Dejan Cumbo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Skarphéðinn Ormarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Seychell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dejan Cumbo made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Sólbjörn Guðnason sent off a good shot on target. In the 84th minute Robert Seychell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Skarphéðinn Ormarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hrói Indriðason hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute, Keith Cassar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Skarphéðinn Ormarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Seychell, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute, Hrói Indriðason hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute Paul Montebello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Skarphéðinn Ormarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Seraċini Għawdxin's Roderick Gordon got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 91st minute, Sólbjörn Guðnason got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
