In the 6th minute, MILLONARIOS FC's Achraf Hakimi seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Achraf Hakimi the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of MILLONARIOS FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Achraf Hakimi had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of MILLONARIOS FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ajax Colombiano:s goal. MILLONARIOS FC:s Eder Moraes showed great skill when he stopped Raul Palacio:s penalty. Eder Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raul Palacio went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Loren Iriarte came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the MILLONARIOS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loren Iriarte couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iván Cordoba during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ajax Colombiano booed when MILLONARIOS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iván Cordoba didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, Raul Palacio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cayetano Borras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loren Iriarte in the 16th minute of play. Atakan Cire kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Armando Medeiros made a precise shot to the right of Eder Moraes. MILLONARIOS FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 28th minute, Xoan Giraldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Paşa Ba came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Ajax Colombiano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paşa Ba couldn't finish the play. Ovidio Liebana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th match minute, MILLONARIOS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maties Toranzo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paşa Ba in the 45th minute of play forced MILLONARIOS FC's goalkeeper Eder Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Armando Medeiros to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Ajax Colombiano getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Atakan Cire hit a great ball. After 55 played minutes MILLONARIOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Liebana. Ajax Colombiano's Paşa Ba got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, MILLONARIOS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jacek Limanowski came free, but Eder Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 64 minutes, Loren Iriarte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MILLONARIOS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Loren Iriarte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raul Palacio kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Ajax Colombiano's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidio Liebana came free, but Cayetano Borras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Raul Palacio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eder Moraes. The goal made the score 0-3. When Loren Iriarte came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the MILLONARIOS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loren Iriarte couldn't finish the play. Cayetano Borras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iván Cordoba, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 89 minutes into the match, MILLONARIOS FC's goalkeeper Eder Moraes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paşa Ba. Cayetano Borras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albano Mercadillo in the 90th minute of play. After 92 minutes, Xalvador Olmos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MILLONARIOS FC and the Ajax Colombiano players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 92 played minutes MILLONARIOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Xalvador Olmos. The Ajax Colombiano supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ajax Colombiano would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
