The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filipe Zaballos during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Roi Seseña struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Cresconio Carreño didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borussia Dortmund. Francis Cesura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Bermudo Mestre made a huge save. With a little luck, Borussia Dortmund's Bermudo Mestre got control of the ball when Rainerio Uria tried to sneak it across the goal line. Deportivo ScrugenFC's Cresconio Carreño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reimundo Olarria in the 25th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Deportivo ScrugenFC's Rainerio Uria slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bermudo Mestre. That made the score 1-0 after 28 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rainerio Uria got free with Bermudo Mestre in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute, Demesio Tarapiella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cresconio Carreño took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elazar Villametide, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cuarto Marzana kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Cresconio Carreño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reimundo Olarria in the 41st minute of play. Borussia Dortmund's Bermudo Mestre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Borussia Dortmund from getting a goal against them. Filipe Zaballos kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

For all the effort they put into the match, the Borussia Dortmund players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Deportivo ScrugenFC.
