When Tadeusz Dziechciowski came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Sakura Storm fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tadeusz Dziechciowski couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Bermudo Mestre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Borussia Dortmund booed when Sakura Storm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinícius Juniors didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fliz Marty during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 24 played minutes Borussia Dortmund got a freekick which was hit by Fliz Marty. Isadoro Archibeque hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Tadeusz Dziechciowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sakura Storm's supporters rose to their feet, but Tadeusz Dziechciowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bermudo Mestre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Borussia Dortmund's Bermudo Mestre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marvelous Ronaldinho in the 38th minute of play. Bermudo Mestre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marvelous Ronaldinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After 40 minutes of play, Sakura Storm's Marvelous Ronaldinho made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bermudo Mestre was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zakir Novruzov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elazar Villametide, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tadeusz Dziechciowski made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Tadeusz Dziechciowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bermudo Mestre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th match minute, Borussia Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isadoro Archibeque to maneuver through the defense. Tadeusz Dziechciowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bermudo Mestre having to interfere. In the 93rd match minute, Sakura Storm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zsolt Hubina to maneuver through the defense. Borussia Dortmund's Bermudo Mestre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeusz Dziechciowski in the 96th minute of play. Tadeusz Dziechciowski scored 1-5 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bermudo Mestre, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sakura Storm's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
