The tension between the GuateFortín and the Buenaventura FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th minute of the match Elias Benavides sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Navarro Montoya skillfully saved the ball. In the 7th minute of the match GuateFortín got a corner. Buenaventura FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abraham Santamaria ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cheito Brandao kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 16th match minute, GuateFortín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Alvarado to maneuver through the defense. Buenaventura FC's Leonidas Barrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Peruanton in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Buenaventura FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramón Morris to maneuver through the defense. Leonidas Barrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milton Umaña in the 26th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Roger Martinez made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Navarro Montoya. GuateFortín's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 36 minutes into the match, Buenaventura FC's goal looked a bit too open when Milton Umaña came free, but Leonidas Barrera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mateo Terciero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Leonidas Barrera made a huge save. Milton Umaña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonidas Barrera having to interfere. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Douglas Ayala sped through Buenaventura FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leonidas Barrera.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andrés Chavez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Patricio Alvarado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonidas Barrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Alvarado in the 63rd minute of play. Primitivo Gallardo kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Ezequiel Peruanton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonidas Barrera having to interfere. Leonidas Barrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateo Terciero in the 77th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Milton Umaña in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonidas Barrera saved Buenaventura FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milton Umaña in the 82nd minute of play forced Buenaventura FC's goalkeeper Leonidas Barrera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Roger Martinez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The GuateFortín fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when GuateFortín's Ezequiel Peruanton looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Leonidas Barrera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milton Umaña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Buenaventura FC's Leonidas Barrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Peruanton in the 94th minute of play. GuateFortín's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abraham Santamaria in the 95th minute. A nice corner shot did that Abraham Santamaria got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Leonidas Barrera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. GuateFortín's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
