In the 9th minute of the match, Leonardo Freire tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Omar Volio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Isidro Valverde put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Tartalo Alarcon. After a rather tough play, CS La Libertad's Diego Alfaro got a free kick in the 16th minute. Gabriel Araya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Intimos de Reynoso defense, Isidro Valverde kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tartalo Alarcon. The Intimos de Reynoso fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tartalo Alarcon should have stopped the shot. Jorge Cordero hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute of the match Carlos Galvan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Omar Volio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tartalo Alarcon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brandon Aguilera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half CS La Libertad were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isidro Valverde stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, CS La Libertad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Cordero to maneuver through the defense. Chayo Aguila's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Omar Volio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Gabriel Araya managed to get in a good position for a shot. CS La Libertad's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Araya was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tartalo Alarcon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in CS La Libertad's zone, Victor Arrelucea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Omar Volio came out of the goal and Victor Arrelucea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the game, Brandon Aguilera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Tartalo Alarcon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to CS La Libertad getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Isidro Valverde hit a great ball. Omar Volio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Victor Arrelucea went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Cordero during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Intimos de Reynoso booed when CS La Libertad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Cordero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Galvan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Omar Volio having to make a save. When the match was over CS La Libertad could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Intimos de Reynoso throughout the match.
