Jacinto Ostots made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blai Bedia in the 26th minute of play. Geraldo Ayaso made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Isidro Echeverria sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, CD Municipal's Geraldo Ayaso got control of the ball when Sigvald Birkborg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mao Nan Ao hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Ramón Gayday took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jacinto Ostots. OROTINENSE's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Geraldo Ayaso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ricardo Orozco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 44 minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

52 minutes into the game, Virila Parra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Municipal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave OROTINENSE the free kick. In the 53rd match minute, CD Municipal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virila Parra to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute, Ricardo Orozco made a precise shot to the right of Geraldo Ayaso. CD Municipal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. After some careless play in the CD Municipal defense, Iordache Opincaru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geraldo Ayaso. The CD Municipal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geraldo Ayaso should have stopped the shot. Iordache Opincaru took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geraldo Ayaso. Geraldo Ayaso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. Geraldo Ayaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iordache Opincaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ponciano Bobis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Jacinto Ostots made a huge save. Ricardo Orozco took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geraldo Ayaso. Geraldo Ayaso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2. OROTINENSE made a substitution. Jesus Lehman replaced Nery Hurtado. Geraldo Ayaso came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by OROTINENSE's Jose Saenz. But to his dismay, Jose Saenz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-2. After a rather tough play, OROTINENSE's Jose Saenz got a free kick in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. OROTINENSE had played much better football throughout.
