With a little luck, Racing Rocafort C.F.'s Cancelo Gol got control of the ball when Ruperto Mendez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ramiro Olmos hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Ruperto Mendez's late challenge caught a Racing Rocafort C.F.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruperto Mendez helped the player get up and apologised. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Xabel Beloki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oro Cameno in the 11th minute of play. If Cugat Marines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Román Coello hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cugat Marines in the 19th minute of play forced Racing Rocafort C.F.'s goalkeeper Cancelo Gol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ni Zhou Hong hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Xabel Beloki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Olmos, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltazar Fonticoba in the 26th minute of play forced Racing Rocafort C.F.'s goalkeeper Cancelo Gol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramiro Olmos in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xabel Beloki saved ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO from getting behind. A collision led to Racing Rocafort C.F. getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Charro Companys hit a great ball. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Racing Rocafort C.F.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cugat Marines was slow to take the kick. During this time ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Anter Titos got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Xabel Beloki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oro Cameno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Godfried Parmentier took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xabel Beloki. Xabel Beloki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 44 played minutes ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO got a freekick which was hit by Ni Zhou Hong. In the 47th match minute, Racing Rocafort C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kajetan Hodyl to maneuver through the defense. Cancelo Gol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cugat Marines, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Racing Rocafort C.F. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cugat Marines stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ni Zhou Hong in the 52nd minute of play forced Racing Rocafort C.F.'s goalkeeper Cancelo Gol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 53 minutes Racing Rocafort C.F.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cugat Marines who took care of the corner kick. Cugat Marines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Cancelo Gol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 62 minutes, Xabel Beloki successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Racing Rocafort C.F.'s Cancelo Gol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cugat Marines in the 64th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramiro Olmos got free with Xabel Beloki in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ramiro Olmos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Xabel Beloki made a huge save. Oro Cameno struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Xabel Beloki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Rocafort C.F.. Racing Rocafort C.F. made a substitution. Danilo Jurado replaced Ramiro Olmos. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danilo Jurado got free with Xabel Beloki in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Charro Companys lost his temper 80 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 80 minutes into the game, one of Racing Rocafort C.F.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Racing Rocafort C.F.:s Cancelo Gol showed great skill when he stopped Baltazar Fonticoba:s penalty. 84 minutes into the match, Danilo Jurado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Xabel Beloki. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Danilo Jurado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 86 minutes into the match, Danilo Jurado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Xabel Beloki, 0-3. Cancelo Gol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruperto Mendez in the 92nd minute of play. Racing Rocafort C.F.'s Godfried Parmentier got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 97 minutes into the game, Kajetan Hodyl was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Racing Rocafort C.F.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO the free kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Racing Rocafort C.F. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
