Ron Lammers started the match with the kick off. Mark Kimman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ron Lammers, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The supporters of Verwachting booed when Lemel SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teun Schoenmakers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerard Keupink hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 16th match minute, Lemel SV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerard Keupink to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Verwachting booed when Lemel SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddy Niemeyer didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franck Bakhuis in the 18th minute of play forced Lemel SV's goalkeeper Mark Kimman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 played minutes Verwachting got a freekick which was hit by Gerrit Melis. After 24 minutes Verwachting's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Peter Smibum who took care of the corner kick. In the 25th minute, Edward Verbeek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Casper Enting was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Verbeek in the 31st minute of play forced Verwachting's goalkeeper Casper Enting to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Verwachting's goalkeeper Casper Enting had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Verbeek. Mark Kimman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ron Lammers, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Mark Kimman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerrit Melis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Teun Schoenmakers fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lemel SV's protests and gave Teun Schoenmakers a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th minute, Teun Schoenmakers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the game, Gerrit Melis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Mark Kimman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Edward Verbeek's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Casper Enting skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Mark Kimman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Vaalman in the 46th minute of play. 48 minutes into the game, Verwachting's Gerrit Melis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mark Kimman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edward Verbeek to make the kick off. Verwachting's Casper Enting played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Verbeek in the 54th minute of play. Casper Enting took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Verbeek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oscar Vaalman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Mark Kimman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eddy Niemeyer kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Mark Kimman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ron Lammers in the 72nd minute of play. Mark Kimman came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Verwachting's Gerrit Melis. But to his dismay, Gerrit Melis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Casper Enting showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Verbeek, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. When Han Sibon fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Verwachting's protests and gave Han Sibon a yellow card for diving instead. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Ron Lammers took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Mark Kimman to make any attempt to save it. In the 98th minute Ted van der Schaaf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Enting saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 98 minutes into the match, Ted van der Schaaf had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casper Enting. Verwachting's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ted van der Schaaf was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Verwachting's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
