João Francisco de Mendonça hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute Haroldo Sanches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Carlinhos da Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gustavo Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Nunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 minutes Belotaurus FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fellipe Rezende who took care of the corner kick. In the 27th minute, Belotaurus FC's Lucas Botelho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The supporters of Belotaurus FC booed when E.C 2 Janeiro RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tostão Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Nunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Belotaurus FC's Gustavo Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Nunes in the 35th minute of play. Gustavo Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlinhos da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute E.C 2 Janeiro RS were awarded a corner. Fellipe Rezende went to the cornerflag to take it. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Fellipe Rezende was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gustavo Brasil in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 43 played minutes Belotaurus FC got a freekick which was hit by Enéas Cunha. Oséas Neto was a little too slow when Lucas Botelho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 48th minute. The score was now 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Fernando Nunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Gustavo Brasil made a huge save. E.C 2 Janeiro RS were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Belotaurus FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fellipe Rezende took the corner. The corner ended in Fellipe Rezende almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Belotaurus FC's Gustavo Brasil did a great save. In the 60th minute, Dé Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernando Nunes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustavo Brasil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goal looked a bit too open when Enéas Cunha came free, but Oséas Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fellipe Rezende hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. A collision led to E.C 2 Janeiro RS getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. João Francisco de Mendonça hit a great ball. In the 87th minute, Bruninho Trevisan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flávio Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute of the match Fellipe Rezende sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gustavo Brasil skillfully saved the ball. In the 94th minute, Lucas Botelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Belotaurus FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
