After a rather tough play, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Dé Trigo got a free kick in the 18th minute. The E.C 2 Janeiro RS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Telmo Madureira should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomás de Castro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Telmo Madureira. That made the score 2-1 in the 34 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Arruda during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpected shot in the 44th minute by Elano de Salles got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás de Castro in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Telmo Madureira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 48 minutes, Dé Trigo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the E.C 2 Janeiro RS and the Fabiofs players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Dé Trigo got a free kick in the 48th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elano de Salles to make the kick off. Telmo Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milton Friedman in the 53rd minute of play. After 53 played minutes E.C 2 Janeiro RS got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Nunes. Telmo Madureira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elano de Salles went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Elano de Salles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Telmo Madureira having to make a save. Walmir Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Milton Friedman was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 62nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Tomás de Castro took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Telmo Madureira. Telmo Madureira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Fabiofs's Pedro Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Nunes in the 71st minute of play. After 79 minutes, Fernando Nunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the E.C 2 Janeiro RS and the Fabiofs players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fabiofs fans cheered their team off the field, for while E.C 2 Janeiro RS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
