The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gustavo Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zac Ba Loua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Zac Ba Loua came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zac Ba Loua couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Rio Verde F.C CIMZ booed when Belotaurus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romário Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Zac Ba Loua came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zac Ba Loua couldn't finish the play. Zac Ba Loua's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustavo Brasil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Paulo de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmílson de Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After 24 played minutes Rio Verde F.C CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Tadeu Britto. After some careless play in the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ defense, Duda Gerber kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo de Mendonça. The Rio Verde F.C CIMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo de Mendonça should have stopped the shot. Belotaurus FC's Gustavo Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zac Ba Loua in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th match minute, Belotaurus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duda Gerber to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute Zac Ba Loua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 33 minutes, Tadeu Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeu Britto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Belotaurus FC's Romário Senna got a free kick in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the game, Romário Senna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Belotaurus FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rio Verde F.C CIMZ the free kick. Paulo Renato Arantes's late challenge caught a Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Renato Arantes helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rio Verde F.C CIMZ booed when Belotaurus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Renato Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belotaurus FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Brasil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Rio Verde F.C CIMZ getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Ke Chang Lin hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duda Gerber in the 45th minute of play forced Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper Paulo de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 52nd minute, Romário Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Thomás do Valle got a free kick in the 58th minute. Belotaurus FC's Gustavo Brasil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Belotaurus FC from getting a goal against them. Belotaurus FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Zac Ba Loua scored to the left of an out of position Gustavo Brasil, making the score, 1-3. Gustavo Brasil came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Zac Ba Loua. But to his dismay, Zac Ba Loua quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enéas Cunha in the 81st minute of play forced Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper Paulo de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Belotaurus FC's Edmílson de Brito got a free kick in the 84th minute. Thomás do Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rio Verde F.C CIMZ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
