In the 3rd minute Amadeo Tuste shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of E.C 2 Janeiro RS booed when Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caio Boldrini didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th match minute, Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Adolfo Mota to maneuver through the defense. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeo Tuste in the 11th minute of play. With his leg Telmo Madureira managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Palmeiras's Caio Boldrini fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Adriano Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Telmo Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira got control of the ball when João Adolfo Mota tried to sneak it across the goal line. Caio Boldrini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caio Boldrini in the 32nd minute of play. Telmo Madureira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Caio Boldrini went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. João Adolfo Mota recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira got control of the ball when Caio Boldrini tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Geraldo Eger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amadeo Tuste struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Telmo Madureira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmeiras.

52 minutes into the game, Palmeiras's Amadeo Tuste nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Telmo Madureira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. After some careless play in the E.C 2 Janeiro RS defense, Amadeo Tuste kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Telmo Madureira. The E.C 2 Janeiro RS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Telmo Madureira should have stopped the shot. Palmeiras made a substitution. Rodriguinho Carneiro replaced Artur Fonelleda. Palmeiras made a substitution. Toninho Prestes replaced Dagoberto Moura. If Jonas Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amadeo Tuste took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Telmo Madureira. Telmo Madureira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Telmo Madureira came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Palmeiras's Caio Boldrini. But to his dismay, Caio Boldrini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Caio Boldrini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Telmo Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Haroldo Sanches hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After 76 minutes, Amadeo Tuste made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's Telmo Madureira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeo Tuste in the 80th minute of play forced E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goalkeeper Telmo Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute Amadeo Tuste shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeo Tuste came free, but Telmo Madureira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Telmo Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeo Tuste in the 92nd minute of the match. There was no doubt that Palmeiras were the better team. Palmeiras's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
