The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedrão Souza got free with Conrado Moreno in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 9 minutes into the game, José Carlos Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EC Rodrigus MZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave REAL VASCO RIO the free kick. After 9 played minutes EC Rodrigus MZ got a freekick which was hit by José Carlos Santos. Percival Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Víktor Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Durvalino Sarmento's late challenge caught a EC Rodrigus MZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Durvalino Sarmento helped the player get up and apologised. After 13 played minutes REAL VASCO RIO got a freekick which was hit by Durvalino Sarmento. The corner led to REAL VASCO RIO's Alfredo Fernandes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Gláuber Cardozo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Conrado Moreno to make any attempt to save it. Conrado Moreno made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Pedrão Souza sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, REAL VASCO RIO's Conrado Moreno threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alfredo Fernandes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 41st match minute, EC Rodrigus MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo Marinho to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Pedrão Souza made the kick off in the second half. Conrado Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrão Souza in the 51st minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, EC Rodrigus MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Gláuber Cardozo came free, but Conrado Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 57 played minutes EC Rodrigus MZ got a freekick which was hit by Felippe Nunes. 58 minutes into the game, REAL VASCO RIO's Pedrão Souza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Conrado Moreno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 66 minutes into the game, Alfredo Fernandes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Conrado Moreno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, REAL VASCO RIO's Percival Prestes got control of the ball when Edmundo Marinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in EC Rodrigus MZ's zone, Alfredo Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conrado Moreno came out of the goal and Alfredo Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind REAL VASCO RIO's goalkeeper Percival Prestes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Pedrão Souza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Conrado Moreno was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. 88 minutes into the match, REAL VASCO RIO's goalkeeper Percival Prestes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmundo Marinho. Conrado Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 91 minutes into the match, EC Rodrigus MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Natã Nogueira came free, but Conrado Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute Gláuber Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. REAL VASCO RIO walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
