Cestarolli FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cambotinha EC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cestarolli FC's Luizão Hoffmann got a free kick in the 14th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolas Alvarenga got free with Laércio de Almeida in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes into the match, Cambotinha EC's goal looked a bit too open when Emerson Lira came free, but Ernesto Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cambotinha EC's Ernesto Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizão Hoffmann in the 23rd minute of play. Luizão Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Montenegro having to interfere. 37 minutes into the game, Luizinho de Queiroz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A collision led to Cambotinha EC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Sandrinho Donatello hit a great ball. Emerson Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ernesto Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Cestarolli FC's goalkeeper Laércio de Almeida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fiori Coutinho. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emerson Lira made a kick off. Luizinho de Queiroz made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Cestarolli FC's Júlio Souza. After having played for 54 minutes, Luizão Hoffmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cestarolli FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luizão Hoffmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Norberto Alvarenga hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute Emerson Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Emerson Lira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Cestarolli FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Júlio Souza hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Júlio Souza made a precise shot to the right of Ernesto Montenegro. Cambotinha EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Fiori Coutinho hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Ernesto Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emerson Lira in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Cestarolli FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Alvarenga came free, but Laércio de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
