In the 5th minute Merusca F&P - CIMZ were awarded a corner. Manoel da Fonseca went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 5th match minute, Merusca F&P - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorian de Moraes to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute, Cambotinha EC's Norberto Alvarenga seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Norberto Alvarenga the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Cambotinha EC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Norberto Alvarenga had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Cambotinha EC:s Ernesto Montenegro showed great skill when he stopped Fabiano Abraão:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Abraão in the 17th minute of play forced Cambotinha EC's goalkeeper Ernesto Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Willian Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandrinho Donatello in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cambotinha EC's goalkeeper Ernesto Montenegro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabiano Abraão took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernesto Montenegro. Ernesto Montenegro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Ernesto Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabiano Abraão, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Ernesto Montenegro came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Fabiano Abraão. But to his dismay, Fabiano Abraão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 39 minutes into the game, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Fabiano Abraão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernesto Montenegro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After having played for 45 minutes, Fabiano Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabiano Abraão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Merusca F&P - CIMZ were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sandrinho Donatello to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cambotinha EC's goalkeeper Ernesto Montenegro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Manoel da Fonseca in the 56th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cambotinha EC's goalie and right to Ricardinho Brito. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cambotinha EC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. With his leg Ernesto Montenegro managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Fabiano Abraão fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 61st minute, Fabiano Abraão made a precise shot to the right of Ernesto Montenegro. Cambotinha EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Şah Conkur was substituted for Frédson Leme. Merusca F&P - CIMZ made a substitution. Marcinho Negri replaced Fabiano Abraão. Carlos Alberto Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Cambotinha EC's Davi Prata tried to score from far away in the 67th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adriano Figueiredo during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st minute, Adriano Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the game, Marcinho Negri lined in a short shot 0-7 behind a frustrated Ernesto Montenegro. 77 minutes into the match, Marcinho Negri notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Cambotinha EC's Ernesto Montenegro. Ernesto Montenegro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 86th minute Marcinho Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernesto Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorian de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 89 minutes into the game, Marcinho Negri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Ernesto Montenegro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
