Bernardo Corrêa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Abraão in the 3rd minute of the match. When Adhemar Lucas came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Vascogoianiense FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adhemar Lucas couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabiano Abraão in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernardo Corrêa saved Vascogoianiense FC from getting behind. Bernardo Corrêa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorian de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Pitta in the 15th minute of play forced Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Willian Trevisan made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Anderson Valladares sent off a good shot on target. Dorian de Moraes took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernardo Corrêa. Bernardo Corrêa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Willian Trevisan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Merusca F&P - CIMZ from getting a goal against them. 24 minutes into the match, Waldemar Ortiz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Willian Trevisan, 1-1. In the 27th minute Humberto Pitta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Willian Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anderson Valladares, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 28th minute, Anderson Valladares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vascogoianiense FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 35 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano Abraão came free, but Bernardo Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Merusca F&P - CIMZ booed when Vascogoianiense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dida Baiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Corrêa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano Abraão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, one of Vascogoianiense FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vascogoianiense FC. After 45 played minutes Merusca F&P - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Dorian de Moraes. Willian Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anderson Valladares, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Humberto Pitta was the one to do the kick off. Vascogoianiense FC's Bernardo Corrêa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Vascogoianiense FC from getting a goal against them. Bernardo Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Pitta in the 55th minute of play. Bernardo Corrêa made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Fabiano Abraão sent off a good shot on target. In the 58th minute Adhemar Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willian Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Fabiano Abraão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardo Corrêa was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. A collision led to Vascogoianiense FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Dida Baiano hit a great ball. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Şah Conkur was substituted for Frédson Leme. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Gilmar Donato was substituted for Raimundo Amorim. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Marcinho Negri was substituted for Fabiano Abraão. Dida Baiano kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Marcinho Negri dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. With a little luck, Vascogoianiense FC's Bernardo Corrêa got control of the ball when Marcinho Negri tried to sneak it across the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcinho Negri came free, but Bernardo Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute Marcinho Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Corrêa came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Marcinho Negri. But to his dismay, Marcinho Negri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. In the 79th match minute, Vascogoianiense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válter Martins to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Dorian de Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorian de Moraes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardo Corrêa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Marcinho Negri took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Bernardo Corrêa to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. One of Vascogoianiense FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Merusca F&P - CIMZ:s goal. Vascogoianiense FC:s Bernardo Corrêa showed great skill when he stopped Humberto Pitta:s penalty. Merusca F&P - CIMZ were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Vascogoianiense FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dorian de Moraes took the corner. After taking down the ball on Merusca F&P - CIMZ's corner Dorian de Moraes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bernardo Corrêa quite easily take care of the ball. Bernardo Corrêa didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 92nd minute, which inside left pole to 2-6. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
