Adhemar Lucas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Cauan Arce made a huge save. Cauan Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anderson Valladares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Joinville United - FSCMZ's Cauan Arce got control of the ball when Adhemar Lucas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Vascogoianiense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válter Martins to maneuver through the defense. If Afonsinho Munhoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute, Afonsinho Munhoz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernardo Corrêa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 26 minutes into the game, Anderson Valladares recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cauan Arce. Anderson Valladares showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 29 minutes into the match, Joinville United - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Anderson Valladares came free, but Cauan Arce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gugu Ortiz in the 31st minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Reinaldo Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Joinville United - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reinaldo Barral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cauan Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anderson Valladares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reinaldo Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Bernardo Corrêa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anderson Valladares received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cauan Arce came out and tried to block the shot, but Anderson Valladares slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 42nd minute. Cauan Arce made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Adhemar Lucas sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

After having played for 58 minutes, Adhemar Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The supporters of Vascogoianiense FC booed when Joinville United - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. After 71 minutes of play, Vascogoianiense FC's Adhemar Lucas made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cauan Arce was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Waldemar Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cauan Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anderson Valladares, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 90 minutes into the game, Adhemar Lucas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Cauan Arce was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Matheus Paraíba's late challenge caught a Joinville United - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matheus Paraíba helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute there was a penalty for Joinville United - FSCMZ. Gugu Ortiz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bernardo Corrêa. 5-2. There was no doubt that Vascogoianiense FC were the better team. Vascogoianiense FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
