The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ronaldo Joinvilense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernesto Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeferson Nóbrega in the 7th minute of play. Celso Tepedino made in the 9th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Galo do Japi's Camel Pinto. Camel Pinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Montenegro having to interfere. Galo do Japi's Camel Pinto quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Celso Tepedino, made in the 12th minute of the game. In the 15th minute, Ronaldo Joinvilense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galo do Japi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Galo do Japi's Armando Sabino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fiori Coutinho in the 18th minute of play. Ronaldo Joinvilense let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 20th minute shot 2-0 at rihgt post. Ernesto Montenegro was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Ronaldo Joinvilense capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ronaldo Joinvilense really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Jeferson Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celso Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Jeferson Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ernesto Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Galo do Japi booed when Cambotinha EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Galo do Japi's Ronaldo Joinvilense dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. Ronaldo Joinvilense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Montenegro having to interfere. Cambotinha EC's Ernesto Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cícero Montenegro in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Cambotinha EC's goalkeeper Ernesto Montenegro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeferson Nóbrega. In the 44th minute, Ronaldo Joinvilense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cambotinha EC's Ernesto Montenegro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Cambotinha EC from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jeferson Nóbrega made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Cambotinha EC defense, Ronaldo Joinvilense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernesto Montenegro. The Cambotinha EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernesto Montenegro should have stopped the shot. In the 60th minute, Ronaldo Joinvilense made a precise shot to the right of Ernesto Montenegro. Cambotinha EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Ronaldo Joinvilense took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernesto Montenegro. Ernesto Montenegro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Ernesto Montenegro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cícero Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Ronaldo Joinvilense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galo do Japi's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldo Joinvilense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Montenegro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 79 minutes into the match, Galo do Japi's goalkeeper Armando Sabino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolas Alvarenga. Ronaldo Joinvilense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernesto Montenegro having to make a save. Ernesto Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Joinvilense, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute, Ronaldo Joinvilense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ernesto Montenegro was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of Cambotinha EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Galo do Japi:s goal. In the 91st minute there was a penalty for Galo do Japi. Ronaldo Joinvilense stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ernesto Montenegro. 10-0. After 94 played minutes Galo do Japi got a freekick which was hit by Fernandinho Pinheiro. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cambotinha EC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Galo do Japi.
