In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sagarana Clube's goalkeeper Dráuzio Arantes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 9th minute, Cleiton Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dráuzio Arantes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Teixeira in the 12th minute of the match. Dráuzio Arantes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeu Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Falcão Cabral made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Frederico Costa sent off a good shot on target. After 26 played minutes Sagarana Clube got a freekick which was hit by César Carioca. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Erik Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot. LauerArmy's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Freitas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dráuzio Arantes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 0-1 became the score in the 33rd minute when Angelo Teixeira elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Dino Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of LauerArmy:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sagarana Clube:s goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Fabiano Nogueira made a kick off. James Rodriguez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráuzio Arantes having to interfere. After 52 played minutes LauerArmy got a freekick which was hit by Erik Freitas. Falcão Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Berger, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 61st minute James Rodriguez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráuzio Arantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Renato Valladares might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dráuzio Arantes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Renato Valladares ran back to his position shaking his head. Falcão Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Costa in the 66th minute of play. Dráuzio Arantes was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and James Rodriguez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. James Rodriguez really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederico Costa in the 72nd minute of play forced LauerArmy's goalkeeper Falcão Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute Frederico Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Falcão Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeferson Torres in the 75th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Dráuzio Arantes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sagarana Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Paulo Renato Valladares was slow to take the kick. During this time LauerArmy's players had a chance to rest. The corner led LauerArmy's Paulo Renato Valladares to fire away a dangerous shot which Dráuzio Arantes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Paulo Renato Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. LauerArmy's Falcão Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Costa in the 91st minute of play. When LauerArmy's James Rodriguez, in the 92nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for LauerArmy. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
