In the 3rd minute, Primo Sans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Breguete FC's Júlio Soares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Breguete FC from getting a goal against them. Vicente Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Gauch in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiliam Carioca in the 12th minute of play forced Breguete FC's goalkeeper Júlio Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Breguete FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wiliam Carioca was slow to take the kick. During this time Academia B.F.'s players had a chance to rest. The corner led Academia B.F.'s Gustavo Martins to fire away a dangerous shot which Júlio Soares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, Breguete FC's Norberto Massa got a free kick in the 16th minute. With a little luck, Breguete FC's Júlio Soares got control of the ball when Primo Sans tried to sneak it across the goal line. Primo Sanss short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Júlio Soares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 20 minutes into the game, Breguete FC's Igor Jesus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vicente Catarinense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Júlio Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Primo Sans, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Primo Sans in the 27th minute of play forced Breguete FC's goalkeeper Júlio Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Primo Sans received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Júlio Soares came out and tried to block the shot, but Primo Sans slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 28th minute. The audience was convinced that Primo Sans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Júlio Soares was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Júlio Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Primo Sans came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Academia B.F. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Primo Sans couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Primo Sans was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Primo Sans in the 51st minute of play forced Breguete FC's goalkeeper Júlio Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Primo Sans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 59 minutes into the match, Primo Sans had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Soares. Breguete FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Primo Sans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 62nd minute Cyril Reynal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Breguete FC's goalkeeper Júlio Soares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sílvio Luís Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Academia B.F.'s Michel Totti was substituted for Primo Sans. Academia B.F. made a substitution. João Francisco Fontes replaced Wiliam Carioca. A collision led to Breguete FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Sílvio Luís Mendes hit a great ball. Norberto Massa made in the 72nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Adriano Leite immediately put the ball in play. Michel Totti scored 4-1 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Júlio Soares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 77 minutes into the match, Academia B.F.'s goalkeeper Vicente Catarinense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adriano Leite. When Michel Totti came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Academia B.F. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michel Totti couldn't finish the play. The Academia B.F. fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Academia B.F.'s Michel Totti looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vicente Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Mendes in the 84th minute of play. If Lauro Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Academia B.F. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Breguete FC for a fine match.
