Sport Club Mavericks's Dani Alves managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hugo Figueiredo in the 15 minute of the game. In the 20th minute Honorio Efraim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvério Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 minutes of play, Sport Club Mavericks's Armando Guerreiro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silvério Netto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Silvério Netto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armando Guerreiro went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to Sport Club Mavericks getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. João Paulo de Sena hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armando Guerreiro in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvério Netto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes into the match, Academia Militar MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Guerreiro came free, but Silvério Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Guerreiro in the 37th minute of play forced Academia Militar MZ's goalkeeper Silvério Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the game, Sport Club Mavericks's Armando Guerreiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After the first half Sport Club Mavericks were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Honorio Efraim to strike the kick off in the second half. Silvério Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Guerreiro in the 56th minute of play. If Dani Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, Academia Militar MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Guerreiro came free, but Silvério Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvério Netto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Honorio Efraim went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Sport Club Mavericks made a substitution. Silvério Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Guerreiro in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Honorio Efraim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvério Netto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. A collision led to Academia Militar MZ getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Rogério Gaúcho hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Sport Club Mavericks's Silvério Netto threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Armando Guerreiro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The Sport Club Mavericks players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
