The shot was a little too simple and Hamílton Rezende could save by the left post. 41 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Jataiense Futebol Clube's Claudinho Queiroz fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Golaki Goiano made a kick off. Jataiense Futebol Clube's Golaki Goiano got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 54 played minutes Jataiense Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Gino Camargo. A collision led to Jataiense Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Hamílton Rezende breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 81 minutes into the match, October 04's goal looked a bit too open when Golaki Goiano came free, but Hamílton Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudinho Queiroz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hamílton Rezende read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, Claudinho Queiroz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Hamílton Rezende was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jataiense Futebol Clube's Gino Camargo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ruy Lira in the 90 minute of the game.
