With a little luck, Grêmio FBPA's Rui Varela got control of the ball when Wesley Koehler tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rui Varela made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Charles Pernambucano sent off a good shot on target. Hartmann Futebol Clube's Blasco Macho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Pires in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Pedro Luiz Secco reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rui Varela. The goal made the score 2-0. Rui Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Secco in the 20th minute of play. Leonardo Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Charles Pernambucano got free with Rui Varela in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronaldo Ramos during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Grêmio FBPA's Amadeu Pitta managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Amauri de Alcântara in the 84 minute of the game. 86 minutes into the game, Amauri de Alcântara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hartmann Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grêmio FBPA the free kick. Amauri de Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Blasco Macho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Zonta, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The supporters of Hartmann Futebol Clube booed when Grêmio FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edu Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blasco Macho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Castro in the 95th minute of the match. Grêmio FBPA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
