After 16 played minutes Maverick Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Thomás Tepedino. Cristiano Romário charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristiano Romário the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th minute, Cristiano Romário hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of JURIDIQUES F.C booed when Maverick Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silas de Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Wesley Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute Cristiano Romário shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wesley Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Renatinho Vale cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Wesley Meira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristiano Romário received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Wesley Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raimundo Abraão kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulo Renato Linhares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Wesley Meira managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when JURIDIQUES F.C's Cristiano Romário fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cristiano Romário recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristiano Romário sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Wesley Meira managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when JURIDIQUES F.C's Cristiano Romário fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to JURIDIQUES F.C getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Anselmo Koehler hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, JURIDIQUES F.C's Emílio Alves got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 76th minute Cristiano Romário shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wesley Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wesley Meira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renatinho Vale in the 77th minute of play. 1-4 became the score in the 80th minute when Cristiano Romário elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Alan Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maverick Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Alan Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Percy Palmeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wesley Meira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Romário, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, JURIDIQUES F.C's Wesley Meira threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristiano Romário, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Paulo Renato Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
