After a rather tough play, Meninos De Cotia's Paolo Maldini got a free kick in the 4th minute. The audience was convinced that Edgard Cabral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Danilo Domingues was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Cabral in the 9th minute of play forced Meninos De Cotia's goalkeeper Danilo Domingues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Niceto Lando recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mané Quirino. Niceto Lando showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 15th minute of the match Michel Stocks sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mané Quirino skillfully saved the ball. In the 22nd minute, Jeremias Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Meninos De Cotia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Jeremias Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Xacintu Marin came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Meninos De Cotia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xacintu Marin couldn't finish the play. Xacintu Marin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Mané Quirino made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeremias Seco to make the kick off. Danilo Domingues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Cabral in the 51st minute of the match. Edgard Cabral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danilo Domingues read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute Osmar de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Domingues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Goiás Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Seco came free, but Mané Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mané Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niceto Lando, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Meninos De Cotia's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Cabral came free, but Danilo Domingues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Frank during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st match minute, Goiás Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dênis Faria to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgard Cabral got free with Danilo Domingues in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Goiás Esporte Clube's Christian Carioca managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Miguel Frank in the 65 minute of the game. The supporters of Goiás Esporte Clube booed when Meninos De Cotia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xacintu Marin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danilo Domingues made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgard Cabral in the 72nd minute. Edgard Cabral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Danilo Domingues made a huge save. Meninos De Cotia's Danilo Domingues proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Meninos De Cotia from getting a goal against them. Xacintu Marin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mané Quirino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Mané Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Seco in the 83rd minute of play. Danilo Domingues didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Goiás Esporte Clube's Osmar de Moraes shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-1 in the ordered_time% minute.
