No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Barcellos Mineiro FC's Orelio Picka was substituted for Murilo Mattos. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. If Edgard Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barcellos Mineiro FC made a substitution. Giuseppe Camargo replaced Eriberto Vidal. When Rick Cabezon fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barcellos Mineiro FC's protests and gave Rick Cabezon a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Barcellos Mineiro FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Rick Cabezon hit a great ball. Goiás Esporte Clube's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
