Edgard Cabral might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Danilo Domingues. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgard Cabral ran back to his position shaking his head. Danilo Domingues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Cabral in the 9th minute of play. A collision led to Meninos De Cotia getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Dário de Azevedo hit a great ball. Mané Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Seco in the 16th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Carioca got free with Danilo Domingues in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mané Quirino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeremias Seco went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Meninos De Cotia's Danilo Domingues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Cabral in the 26th minute of play. Benigno Ixona's late challenge caught a Meninos De Cotia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benigno Ixona helped the player get up and apologised. Benigno Ixona hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Mané Quirino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niceto Lando's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niceto Lando in the 34th minute of play forced Goiás Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Mané Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 minutes Goiás Esporte Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Michel Stocks who took care of the corner kick. Meninos De Cotia's Michel Stocks was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mané Quirino in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Mané Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Lando in the 40th minute of play. Danilo Domingues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osmar de Moraes in the 44th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgard Cabral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgard Cabral in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danilo Domingues saved Meninos De Cotia from getting behind. Danilo Domingues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osmar de Moraes in the 60th minute of the match. Danilo Domingues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Niceto Lando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Mané Quirino made a huge save. Goiás Esporte Clube's Mané Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Lando in the 68th minute of play. Danilo Domingues stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Osmar de Moraes's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Mané Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Seco in the 78th minute of play. After 79 played minutes Goiás Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Ixona. Benigno Ixona kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Mané Quirino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeremias Seco in the 82nd minute. But to his dismay, Edgard Cabral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Many of Meninos De Cotia's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Meninos De Cotia may have spent more time on the ball, but Goiás Esporte Clube were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
