Afonso Paraíba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. José Augusto de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Allan da Silveira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of José Augusto de Godoi. The goal made the score 1-0. When Walmyr Dionísio fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clube do Remo MZ's protests and gave Walmyr Dionísio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th match minute, Clube do Remo MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmyr Dionísio to maneuver through the defense. Tiaguinho Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi Gaúcho in the 21st minute of play. Clube do Remo MZ's Joélson de Carvalho managed to work through AF CERRADO's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Joélson de Carvalho dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 37 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's Didi Gaúcho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiaguinho Netto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Hortêncio de Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 42 minutes Clube do Remo MZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Richard Travassos who took care of the corner kick. The corner led AF CERRADO's Richard Travassos to fire away a dangerous shot which Tiaguinho Netto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Allan da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute Joélson de Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Augusto de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Tiaguinho Netto made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Maicon Gonçalves sent off a good shot on target. José Augusto de Godoi came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Clube do Remo MZ's Luiz Fernando Pena. But to his dismay, Luiz Fernando Pena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. A collision led to AF CERRADO getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. André Luiz da Rocha hit a great ball. The supporters of AF CERRADO booed when Clube do Remo MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fernando Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Clube do Remo MZ's Joélson de Carvalho got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The corner ended in Allan da Silveira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AF CERRADO's José Augusto de Godoi did a great save. Clube do Remo MZ's Joélson de Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Augusto de Godoi came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube do Remo MZ's Allan da Silveira. But to his dismay, Allan da Silveira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Joélson de Carvalho struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. José Augusto de Godoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube do Remo MZ. After 91 minutes, Wiliam Rosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AF CERRADO and the Clube do Remo MZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to AF CERRADO getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Wiliam Rosa hit a great ball. Clube do Remo MZ's attack was well implemented in the 95th minute, but when Allan da Silveira was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. AF CERRADO's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
