The Coritiba Foot Ball Club fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Rodrigo Garro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 19 minutes into the match, 胡亦旭 notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro. Caetano Monteiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodrigo Garro was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Wang Chen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Wang Chen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caetano Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro got control of the ball when 胡亦旭 tried to sneak it across the goal line.
