Egídio Lucas started the match with the kick off. After 2 minutes, Fabrício Rosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Icoara Football Club and the AF CERRADO players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 2nd minute, Fabrício Rosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caetano Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaká Goiano in the 4th minute of the match. Caetano Monteiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kaká Goiano's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. After a rather tough play, Icoara Football Club's Luiz Fernando Pitta got a free kick in the 7th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Didi Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot. AF CERRADO's supporters rose to their feet, but Didi Gaúcho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caetano Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 14 minutes, Ezequiel Melo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AF CERRADO and the Icoara Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to AF CERRADO getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Ezequiel Melo hit a great ball. Kaká Goiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kaká Goiano in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caetano Monteiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Icoara Football Club's Valdo Lima got a free kick in the 35th minute. Icoara Football Club's Fabrício Rosa got his second yellow card of the match in the 37th minute. The referee ordered Fabrício Rosa off the ground. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kaká Goiano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Kaká Goiano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Caetano Monteiro was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. In the 63rd minute AF CERRADO were awarded a corner. Richard Travassos went to the cornerflag to take it. After 65 minutes Icoara Football Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Richard Travassos who took care of the corner kick. Kaká Goiano took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Caetano Monteiro. Caetano Monteiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When AF CERRADO's Kaká Goiano in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Icoara Football Club's goalie prevented a goal. 76 minutes into the match, Kaká Goiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Caetano Monteiro. Icoara Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kaká Goiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Kaká Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caetano Monteiro having to interfere. When AF CERRADO's Kaká Goiano in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Icoara Football Club's goalie prevented a goal. Caetano Monteiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kaká Goiano's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. AF CERRADO's Renatinho Leal got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. AF CERRADO's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
