After 22 played minutes AF CERRADO got a freekick which was hit by Kaká Goiano. 23 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Paraíba came free, but José Augusto de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Allan da Silveira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kaká Goiano to strike the kick off in the second half. The corner led AF CERRADO's Richard Travassos to fire away a dangerous shot which Tiaguinho Netto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Didi Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Tiaguinho Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, AF CERRADO's Artur Sergipano got a free kick in the 58th minute. Joélson de Carvalho was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 58th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Clube do Remo MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Kaká Goiano came free, but Tiaguinho Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Didi Gaúcho hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After 65 played minutes Clube do Remo MZ got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Reis. Tiaguinho Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi Gaúcho in the 66th minute of play. Tiaguinho Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaká Goiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Pedro Cearense was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 74 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the game, one of AF CERRADO:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, José Augusto de Godoi, was totally fooled by Clube do Remo MZ's Joélson de Carvalho, who 75 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. AF CERRADO's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Joélson de Carvalho 82 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joélson de Carvalho in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Augusto de Godoi saved AF CERRADO from getting behind. Afonso Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Augusto de Godoi having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Hélder Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Clube do Remo MZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Clube do Remo MZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
