Quebra Ossos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Téo Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doriva de Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8th minute, Leonardo Mineiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Quebra Ossos FC's Gugu Saldanha got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Quebra Ossos FC's goalkeeper Vitório Britto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Luís Eduardo Falcão hit a great ball. Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's Doriva de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telmo Salles in the 20th minute of play. After 22 minutes, Leonardo Mineiro made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Quebra Ossos FC's Vitório Britto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Erasmo da Silveira hit a great ball. When Elói Branco came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Quebra Ossos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elói Branco couldn't finish the play. Doriva de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elói Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gugu Saldanha in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Doriva de Queirós, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 33rd minute Telmo Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doriva de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Quebra Ossos FC's goalkeeper Vitório Britto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Doriva de Queirós had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Telmo Salles. Vitório Britto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the game, Leonardo Mineiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Vitório Britto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elói Branco to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Elói Branco came free, but Doriva de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Quebra Ossos FC's zone, Leonardo Mineiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitório Britto came out of the goal and Leonardo Mineiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 68 minutes into the match, Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Elói Branco came free, but Doriva de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tales Maranhense during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tales Maranhense hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Doriva de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telmo Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Mineiro in the 75th minute of play forced Quebra Ossos FC's goalkeeper Vitório Britto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gugu Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Doriva de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vitório Britto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Leonardo Mineiro took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vitório Britto. Vitório Britto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. The Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
